Mortality in women - fertile age ( 2005 / 2010 )

      A data survey conducted on brazilian Ministry of Health site DATASUS (http://www.datasus.gov.br/) shows changes in the epidemiological profile of deaths in women of 15 to 49 years in Florianopolis.There was no significant change in the total number of mortality rate between these years, however there was an increase in cancer-related causes (41.1%) and external causes (11.5%), and reduction in cardiovascular-related causes (- 30.3%) and infectious diseases (-27.3%).

     Among preventable causes of mortality, an increase in rates (over the total number of cases) related to traffic accidents (79.57), breast cancer (88.12%), Cerebral and myocardial stroke (88.4%) and a decrease of causes related to AIDS (-36.5%).
